Llewellyn collects buttercups, heart-shaped stones and sky “the color of tart cherry syrup.” Imagery of text and illustration unite as Llewellyn meets Evelyn and, together, they fill bottles with fascinating shapes with “the wonders of winter…the newness of spring…and the long days and shadows of summer.” But what will they do when she has to move?
