In nine short chapters, illustrated eloquently by Carmen Mok, we see the relationship begun between an elderly rat and a young owl deepen. Every night Orris tells stories to young Timble and the owl is particularly struck by an ending that could describe their relationship. “By the light of the stars, by the light of the moon, I will always return.” And when Timble does not return, Orris emotions are many, mostly angry until he learns Timble’s story of being lost. And by story’s end they’ve again found the warmth of their relationship which is renewed and strengthened. You can find out more about this book at the purchase link below.
