A SCRUB IN THE TUB written and illustrated by Jan Thomas

Author-illustrator Jan Thomas has a gift for combining silly words and comic illustrations to dramatize childlike situations. She addresses the need for bathing in A SCRUB IN THE TUB. Pig is not a fan of baths and his friends, weasel and rabbit, are quick to tell him so. “Pee-ew! Someone needs a scrub in the tub!” declares Rabbit and weasel is quick to agree. Pig however ignores, distracts and disagrees even as a green stench cloud surrounds him. As with most Jan Thomas’ books, the situation turns rapidly to fun and, by book’s end, all three animals grin together in the tub as they scrub.
