Ben Gundersheimer who may be better known by his performance name, Mister G) writes an early view of a young whale’s maiden voyage in BABY BALLENA. Juana who is a big as a boat, and drinks fifty gallons of milk a day has a primary job of “getting bigger and stronger” as she travels from Mexico to Alaska. Simple declarative sentences make this bi-lingual book readable. The pages are written first in Spanish, then in English, then alternate back and forth on succeeding pages.
