THE VERY UNUSUAL PUMPKIN written by Marilyn Singer and illustrated by Maya Shleifer

Exquisite wordsmith Marilyn Singer teams up with illustrator Maya Shleifer in THE VERY UNUSUAL PUMPKIN an intergenerational tale of a grandmother and granddaughter who are uncommon. Unlike most, Lulu’s grandmother is a terrible storyteller. Unlike most, Lulu is a granddaughter who wants to improve the status quo. The book begins with a one-line plot and by book’s end, with Lulu’s helpful questions, there evolves a fairy tale about an unusual fairy godmother and uncommon pumpkin with characters you can care about, choruses that sing and a promise of better storytelling in the future.Find out more in the Purchase link below.
