BIG written and illustrated by Vashti Harrison

Vashti Harrison’s BIG, is amazing in so many ways! First it has the rather uncommon distinction of being a picture book deservedly on the National Book Award’s Young People’s Literature Finalist List, due to its gift for truly powerfully speaking to those of all ages. Harrison’s illustrations have always been stunning but this is the first book for which she has composed both text and pictures. Not only is this an accomplishment of excellence in both illustration and text, the strength of both will make difference for those who seek someone to voice their truths with authenticity and deep meaning and give them hope and words to make transformation happen.
