Blythe Russo has a corollary for kids to the person who is quick to declare that he or she “just has a resting bitch face.” She pictures the situation in FROG FACE. The story’s hero ventures out to get a snack and is judged by numbers of animals as grouchy, unsmiling. She’s told to have fun, lighten up, relax. Each comment makes Frog become less fantastic and more…and more…and more UNCOMFORTABLE.
