LOVE STAYS STRONG by Paula Schneider, illustrated by Nicole Wong, read by Xe Sands

Paula Schneider, President and CEO of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation writers of her journey through cancer in LOVE STAYS STRONG. The premise is gently but powerfully stated—even though it is the nature of things to change, underlying everything “my love for you stays strong.” This refrain is repeated throughout as seasons change and “my voice may become softer, my body may grow weaker but through all my changes my love for you stays strong.” This affirming, comforting book also relies on lessons from the natural world-actions can change like a dragonfly who born in water, but flies, not swims. A few drops of honey can fuel a bee’s flight around the world, just as love fuels. Pictures by Nicole Wong, like the text, are tender without being overwrought.
