THE EYES AND THE IMPOSSIBLE written by Dave Eggers and illustrated by Shawn Harris

Dave Eggers THE EYES AND THE IMPOSSIBLE was a book that would lift off the pages for me, even with Shawn Harris’ lush double-page spreads. But the skillful narration of Ethan Hawke delivered each well rounded character into my ear and straight to my heart. He develops voices for all characters, all of them become endearing, even the wacky ducks that Johannes, the main character, disparages. I still wonder if kids will love this book but with Ethan Hawke’s help they just might! Book (and maybe more importantly the audio) are available at the link below.
