Guojing’s THE HOUSE THAT FLOATED is a perfect example of how a wordless book succeeds. We know the characters, a man and a woman and later their child. We know when that child is coming by a silhouette of a pregnant woman and a tiny chair joining the two larger ones on the front porch. We they have an intimate relationship with both the house and the natural world around them.
