TUCK EVERLASTING by Natalie Babbitt, forward by Gabrielle Zevin illustrated by Bagram Ibatoulline

Natalie Babbitt’s TUCK EVERLASTING is having an anniversary and so am I. Babbitt’s book is fifty years old and it’s celebrated by a new edition with a forward by popular author and fan Gabrielle Zevin, illustrations by Bagram Ibatoulline, and a lovely afterwards by Babbitt’s daughter, Lucy. The story, about timelessness, is indeed the timeless tale of young Winnie Foster who discovers the Tuck family forever frozen in their ages after drinking from a magical spring. My daughter read this book when she was first grade, it was her first novel. Today I’m sending it to my granddaughter, a strong reader, who is just starting first grade.
