HOW TO SAY BABYLON by Safiya Sinclair

Savoys Sinclair’s HOW TO SAY BABYLON is one of the most remarkable memoirs I’ve heard this year. The story alone is gripping but the way the author skillfully balances lyrical words with the brutal rigidity of her father’s rules. Beautiful to hear with her light Jamaican accent, but now I want to reexperience it on the page.
